(Read, 2008)Because stress falls into a complex assortment of emotions and sources of them are even more profuse, the definition of stress management has become so broad, but all of them are aimed to relieve stress and divert these energies elsewhere harmless, and sometimes, even productive. (Joye, 2005) All in all, the definition of stress management falls into three categories: action oriented stress management, emotionally oriented stress management, and acceptance oriented stress management. Stress management begins with identifying the basis of stress in your life. This isn't as very simple as it sounds. Your factual causes of tension aren't habitually obvious, and it's all too very simple to overlook your own stress-inducing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Sure, you may know that you're certainly worried about work deadlines. But perhaps it's your procrastination, rather than the genuine job demands, that directs to deadline stress. (Read, 2008)
To recognize your true sources of stress, look nearly at your customs, attitude, and excuses. (Joye, 2005)
Do you interpret away stress as provisional (“I just have a million things going on right now”) even though you can't recall the last time you took a breather?
Do you characterize stress as an integral part of your work or home life (“Things are always absurd round here”) or as a part of your character (“I have an allotment of tense energy, that's all”). (Folkman, 2003)
If your methods of managing stress aren't contributing to your greater emotional and physical health, it's time to find healthier ones.
