Stress

Stress is a non-specific response of the body to the action of extreme factors, some intractable or threatening situation. During stress the body produces the hormone adrenaline, whose main function is to force the body to survive. Stress is a normal part of life and necessary in certain quantities. If our life was not stressful element of competition, risk, willingness to work at the limits of life would be much more boring. Sometimes stress acts as a sort of call or motivation that is needed to feel the fullness of emotions, even when it comes to survival. If the combination of these challenges and complex problems becomes very large, then the person's ability to cope with these tasks is being lost.

Anxiety is a state of mind and body, associated with anxiety, stress and nervousness. In everyone's life there are moments when he is under stress or anxiety. In fact the state of anxiety helps one cope with external threats, forcing the brain to work hard and bringing the body into a state of readiness for action. When anxiety and fear start to suppress human rights and to influence his daily life, there may be so-called anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders, including panic disorder, fear of losing their jobs, specific fears, post traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and general anxiety typically begin after the age of 15-20 years. Internal sources of stress and anxiety: the values of life and beliefs, loyalty to one's word, self-esteem.

Symptoms of Stress

Symptoms may gradually increase or appear suddenly, within a few minutes. Panic attacks usually do not last long, occur in the form of an emotional outburst, accompanied by a sense of horror and such reactions, as increased heart rate and sweating. Generalized anxiety disorder usually develops gradually and is usually not a direct consequence of a particular irrational fear (phobias). The two main symptoms of stress and anxiety are uncontrollable anxiety and worry. Symptoms can also include muscle tension, fatigue, irritability, restlessness, insomnia or sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating. Stress and anxiety can lead to panic attacks, which are characterized by pain or discomfort in the chest, increased heart rate, labored, shallow breathing, feeling short of breath, choking, vomiting or sudden onset of fever, shivering, nausea, abdominal pain , numbness, or tingling in the limbs (Folkman, 2011).
