Introduction

Descriptive statistics plays a vital role in almost all facets of human progress. Descriptive statistics is the tabulation of data presentation in graphical or illustrative calculation. The statistical techniques are applied widely in marketing, accounting, consumer surveys, sports, education, politics and medicines due to the need of decision-making.

Discussion

The histogram displayed here is used to present the statistical information visually. The dispersion of our data is spread values around the central tendency. The standard deviation is a more accurate way of measuring the dispersion and the frequency distribution which is a summary of the range of values. The information conveyed in the histogram includes frequency distribution, the distribution symmetry skewed, and the modality. The bin limits are plotted on the x axis, and the frequencies are located on the y axis. The x and y axis are the data points. The points used to construct the histogram are known as the data points.

Analysis

More data are necessary to make a sound business decision. Surveys and updated demographics data from each country would be useful in determining what countries would be ideal for expansion. There could be more research done in those countries to identify the potential markets and services. The available data shows that countries such as Iraq, Libya, Nigeria and Algeria there are zero cell phones per capita, and there has been no increase in that number from 2005 to 2010. This data have pinpointed countries where there is prime growth potential. The calculated data show that there are opportunities for growth in these markets and that the increased market-share that will have a return on investment.
