“Stalking 'definitely a problem' for women at college”

According to the author Emily Bazar, stalking of college women is very common in most of the college campuses. There are larger number of cases that have been filed and reported by the police and psychologists. With a survey conducted it was found that there are larger number of college students who have been stalked at various occasions within their college campuses. Stalking is simply defined as a frequent pattern of conduct or behaviour that can cause a sensible person to experience fear and terror, whenever he or she comes near to any particular place. It is clearly stated in this article that female students of colleges who have relations with boys face more stalking incidences then those who do not have any relations with boys (Bazar, 2007).

“Stalking acknowledgement and reporting among college women experiencing intrusive behaviors: Implications for the emergence of a “classic stalking case”

Carol E. Jordan a, Adam J. Pritchard and Pamela Wilcox b have stated in this article that there is a great risk of victimization that is being faced by the women or students who are attending college or universities. They have pointed out that in the past most of the victims (college students) did not inform the police authorities as they were afraid of it, but now people have understood the importance of reporting about it. This is a peer reviewed article that has used different perspective for explaining the “Classic stalking case”. In this article the authors have used primary analysis for studying the effects of stalking in the college students and its reporting to the law authorities.
