Sovereign Citizen Movement

It was the incident of the year 2010 that occurred in May when two West Memphis, police officers were killed and two Crittenden County sheriff's officers got wounded in a shootout. This shootout was interlinked in which two police officers were killed and two County Sherriff's officers got wounded. This shoot out was done by anti government Sovereign citizen movement. The members of this movement supposedly had ties with Ohio and Florida.

There is a member in the Sovereign Citizen Movement with the name of Jerry Kane. Jerry Kane is specialized in one of the theories of Sovereign Citizen Movement belief system with the name of redemption. In order to share his expert views and to divert people to this movement hold a number of workshops and seminars. In these seminars and workshops, Kane tell people about anti government conspiracies and pseudo legal solution. For these seminars and workshops Kane often travel with his teenage son. One day while he was returning from one of the seminars his car was pulled over by the two officers of West Memphis Police Department. Kane got out of the car with firearms and opened up the fire on two police officers. Police officers died at the moment and Kane along with his son drove off from the point of crime. After one and half hour of this event Kane's car found. After rigorous search and efforts the police were able to track the car and found out that the car of Kane is parked in a Wal-Mart parking lot. As soon as the police went close to their car a second shootout occurred at that spot. As a result of this shootout both Kane and his teenage son got killed in the return fire. In this shootout two Crittenden County Sheriffs also got wounded. This is not the only incident that suggests the violent nature and violent and overt crimes of the members of Sovereign Citizen Movement against the officials of law enforcement agencies but there are numerous such examples. The main surge that keeps sovereign citizens to indulge in these sorts of activities is their major objective. The main locus of their objective revolves around an unusual form of anarchism. According to this unusual form of anarchism the main objective of this group of sovereign citizen movement is the importance and significance of the local control. On the other hand, it also focuses on the removal of all sorts of authority and obligations.

The thing that drives sovereign citizen members to go for such violent activities is that they are against of the local structure of power and government. The most important reason that sovereign citizen movement gives behind their violent acts against the law enforcement is that they believe that there was the time when there were no taxes, laws that are oppressed and regulation of the orders of courts.
