Euthyphro encounters Socrates outside the court of Athens. Socrates has been charged of impiety by Meletus hence called to court. Euthyphro prosecuted his own father in the court for unintentional murderous hand. Socrates has praised Euthyphro on his knowledge for religion that had enforced the execution of prosecution against his own father for a questionable charge. Euthyphro assures that he has the complete knowledge about what is holy.
