Sports sociology is the understanding of the association involving sporting activities and society. Since sporting activities are societal phenomenon, it is imperative to learn them as they recount to other types of societal life. This paper will assess the relation involving sports and other regions of societal life, for exemplar: family unit, learning, genders, the press, and religious conviction.

It is in the year 1970 that sports sociology has attained considerable concentration as a grave region of research.
