Introduction
The Zapatistas of Chiapas made ??their first public appearance, that of 1 January 1994 as an armed movement, with a declaration of war on the government Mexico and the occupation of several towns. Overview of the Zapatista movement and its history
Zapata is not a unique symbolic heritage of the popular sectors of Mexican society. The Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) is an armed Mexican military-political character. His inspiration is the policy Zapatismo, the Marxism and libertarian socialism , and its military structure is the guerrilla.
