Introduction

In the society, where we live in, it seems as if there is nothing greater than the physical appearance of a person to attract/impress another individual. The personality or character of a person is judged on his/her looks. For example, stereotypes like “what is beautiful is good” suggests that almost all the people are of the view that physical attraction leads to more desirable traits and better lives. The blame can be attributed largely to the profit-motivated-capitalist economy, and the images we see in Hollywood movies, and the electronic/print media.
