The Impact of Sociological Theories on Family

Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to make an analysis on the impact of sociology theories on families. This paper discusses the different sociology theories and describes that what is the application of each theory to the families and what are the main similarities and differences. This paper also discusses that what is the effect of each theory on the individual's view that is an institution's part? This paper also discusses the effect of each theory on the approach to social change in families. Last but not the least, this theory discusses the views of the society.

Sociology Theory

Etymologically, the word sociology is a hybrid term, because it integrates with a Latin word, socius, companion and the Greek word logos, treatise. In a very general concept, sociology is the study of the formation and functioning of society. And in a more specific meaning and contemporary is said to be the science that aims to study human relations, employing, systemized observation, empirical verification, the theory and reason (Adeola 2008).

Although the public believes that this branch of knowledge was founded by the French philosopher Auguste Comte (1798-1857), experts believe that this credit goes to Frenchman Claude-Henri de Rouvroy, better known as the Count of Saint -Simon (1760-1825), who defined sociology as the science of institutions, their origin and function.

Although the following list seems too long, I anticipate that, given the nature of this text will be positivism, Marxism and comprehensive sociology, the three paradigms that try wider.

The French philosopher worked so closely with Saint-Simon is difficult to establish what sociology offered separately, each of them.
