Silence of the Lambs Introduction: Clarice Starling (Foster) is a bright trainee at the FBI Academy. She called her boss to help catch the Buffalo Bill serial killer, abduction of women at an alarming rate. Clarice is interrogating the most dangerous killers in the psychological hospital, the flesh eating psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter (Hopkins), hoping that he can lead her into a killer before he strikes again. Why did they kill?

While Clarice Starling still trainie FBI, her boss sent her to see the infamous Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The goal is to find information about current serial killer called "Buffalo Bill". A young woman, were kidnapped, starved, killed, then the skin. Senator's daughter is the latest casualty and will do everything to her daughter back, even the movement of Dr. Lecter. When young women begin to go missing, Associate Investigator FBI called in, to talk with a convicted cannibal. But will the investigator (Clarice Starling) to find the killer in time to save the young daughter of a senator, and to keep a secret horrible murder?

The movie shows that Gumb was abandoned by his mother - a prostitute, alcoholic mistake, "James" on his birth certificate - and was taken to be raised in two years of age. He lived in foster care until 10 years after which it was adopted by his grandfather and grandmother, who became his first victim when he violently killed them at age 12. He was sent to the Tulare vocational rehabilitation psychiatric hospital where he was taught how to be a tailor. After his release, he worked sporadically in the clothing business.

Hannibal Lecter role in this is interesting. In the sense he is just a piece to show how much the hospital is keeping him ("He's a goldmine of research point of view.")
