Separation of Church and State

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of religion in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on the separation wall between church and the state and its relation with the religions. The research also analyzes many aspects of religion and tries to gauge its effect on cultural settings. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for separation between church and the state and tries to describe the overall effect of the religion aspects on the cultural settings.

Separation of Church and State

Introduction

The separation of the state and the church is a political principle, the administration and spiritual institutions are separate and independent. The term mainly refers to the grouping of two principles: the secular head of state and religious activities

Separation of church and state is generally traced back to one written in 1802 by Thomas Jefferson's Danbury Baptist letter, which he referred to the Church and State to create a "wall“to the First Amendment. This sentence was quoted in the 1878 U.S. Supreme Court the first time since 1947 and then a series of cases. This led to the concept of popular and political discussion more widely.

Background

The concept has been adapted in several countries, to varying degrees depending on the legal frameworks applicable to common views and the proper role of religion in society. A similar Principle also applies to France and Turkey, while some, such as the Norwegian national secular society has maintained the official religion of the constitution of a country identification.

Research Question

The problem has been said here is that: should there be a wall of separation between church and state.

Literature Review

Ancient

The most ancient cultures in the Governor's policy are also the highest religious leaders, sometimes considered sacred. According to the Republican Party's religious officials were appointed as political issues. Ancient Israel is different, because the king and clergy were separated and the powers and responsibilities in their respective areas closed, despite the interference will occur.
