Introduction

The first published novel is Jane Austen Sense and Sensibility. He was beloved by all gave positive comments and criticisms. Although not mentioned as the best work, but the high ranking. The two main protagonists of the novel were Elinor and Marianne. Both were against in the real sense and the characters are two ends of a square. The story is found not to satisfy most readers. The main character in the novels is Henry, who was married to Mrs. Dashwood. Mrs. Dashwood was the mother of the main protagonists of the novel. John Dashwood was his son. John was very selfish and egocentric. His wife was Fanny Dashwood and his nature was a mirror image of her husband. The señoraDashwood was very romantic person and share a beautiful relationship with his daughters. His only aim in life was to marry his daughter for good men. This novel revolves around the Dashwood family.

The fundamental theme of this novel is about marriage, class differences and the influence of money in the lives of girls. The story begins with the Dashwood women are trapped in the laws of heredity. Women are portrayed as weak and have a bleak future. They cannot work to live and no money. The only solution is to see their marriage problems. But marriage also has great skills as brides without dowries are not suitable for men.

Jane described a number of restrictions on women in this male dominated society. Women are not allowed to own property. The women were only supposed to stay at home, preparing food and to marry. They may not be trained. They receive equal treatment compared to men. Women have no role in society, apart from accepting orders from their male colleagues. Men choose their partner easily and with authority, but women, even when they have money they need someone of a certain social position to marry. Finance is always the precondition for women when they marry they will have a strong financial position.In the novel, each character has high expectations of others.
