Social Work and My Aim in Life

Introduction

“If you want a year of prosperity, plant rice. If you want 10 years of prosperity, plant trees. If you want prosperity for ever, a village education”. (Chinese proverb).

From my childhood, I taught to self dependant and strong. I was born to modern, hard working family. I was taught that in order to achieve your goal one has to create his own ways, and my desires I use to work through all the possible legal outcomes. A person should set goals and ways which lead him towards successful results. People fail because they do not know what they want or what they do not want. It is very important that one should make goals in alignment to accomplish them. Without proper aim, one can easily fall off the track and become lost.

My personal life and professional career has undergone drastic transformations during the last couple of years. I have been given by my interest in Humanitarian Studies. This arena of focus has provided me the perfect career enhancement. My profound interest in the subject started while I was in high school.

As a son of a common man, I have been susceptible to all the economic trends. This inclined me to start layering on my knowledge and acquaintance of human equality into my work. The core goal of my graduate studies and professional career is doing majors in XXXXXX. It is my aspiration to join the XXXXX after my graduate studies. I want to explore this field at international level through my superior personal and professional expertise.

My aim in Life as a social worker

The term social welfare is related to the concept of welfare of the state and humanity. It defined as the "a system of laws and institutions through which a government attempts to protect and promote the economic and social welfare of its citizens usually based on various forms of social insurance against unemployment, accident, illness and old age".

According to varying definitions, the definition is further refined into the concept of institutional outcome of the assumption by a society of legal and therefore formal and explicit responsibility for the basic well-being of its members.

May aim in life have always been to serve the humanity in any-way. According to my description, the social worker is a person who does some work for the good and benefit of the society at large. The modern society involves the individual who make their lives revolving round the self, therefore; it becomes difficult to find a genuine social worker. A worker, who truly deserves to be defined as a social worker, even the brand of modern social workers has polluted the atmosphere and the excellent name of social workers and social work (Lubove, 2010).
