Security Plan- Acme

Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of network security in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on design a security plan and its relation with Acme Confectioners. The research also analyzes many aspects of security risks for the Acme network and tries to gauge its effect on company network and information against attacks. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for security risks and tries to describe the overall effect of recommended policies to secure the Acme Confectioners' network.

Introduction

This paper explores the concept of designing a security plan to protect the Acme Confectioner's network and information against attacks. Additionally this paper identifies security risks for the Acme network and creates network and physical diagrams of the Acme infrastructure. Finally this paper identifies and recommends policies to secure the network.

An organization builds its security program from the applicable laws, regulations, and standards by developing various organizational policies and programs that create the overall program. Many elements of the Information Security Program are required and validated the authorization of the organization's information systems (Brand, 2010) . The organization's policies and activities that make up a security program are the responsibility of senior management within an organization, not the sole responsibility of one individual. The Information System Security Officer (ISSO) has overall responsibility of an organization's Information Security Program. Yet other policies and programs developed by other individuals within the organization also support the Information Security Program and the accreditation process. (Alexander 2011)

Assessing an organization's security desires furthermore encompasses working out its vulnerabilities to renowned threats. This evaluation entails identifying the kinds of assets that an association has, which will propose the kinds of risks it desires to defend itself against. (Bicknell 2008)
