Introduction

Bushfire spray systems are increasingly being utilised as a design solution for theprotection of new houses constructed in high bushfire risk areas. Evidence isincreasingly becoming available both in Australia and the United States of America(USA) that demonstrates the effectiveness of bushfire spray systems. With this inmind the Barry Lee Fire Protection Scholarship has been conducted to explore thepotential for using existing fire sprinkler technology to protect homes from bushfires.( Mitchell, 20060
