Robber Barons

When the topic of the U.S. economy occurs, the infamous robber barons of the 19th century often comes to mind. They are often glorified as "captains of industry" for their money-making strategies and enterprising ways. Those who hold this view will probably not know the evil of laissez-faire capitalism, in which the robber barons believed in and participated. They want unlimited economic system, so that they could save as much money as they could make out with each other and control of power in society. They were not so nice and generous as some ...
