Rights of the accused

Those who have been accused have certain rights. Some people have gone on to suggest that the American law provides more rights to the people who have been accused of crime than it does to ordinary citizens. This may be true to some extent as the fu=foundation of the American law holds that each and every accused is innocent until he or she has been proven guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt.
