Introduction

Rhetorical devices are used in writing and speech to persuade, inform and motivate the audiences. This technique of discourse is very old in the Western culture and has been taught to public speakers of motivating and gathering the audiences on a particular opinion. We will be analyzing two articles and will review the types of rhetorical devices used in them. We will also see which categories these rhetorical devices lie. The impact by the use of these devices will be highlighted.
