This proposal is going to be discussing certain issue since in many places elderly abuse is not taken as a crime but they take it as an personnel issue.

Introduction

Many of the senior citizens each year face the Elderly abuse; this can vary in many types of abuse which could be financial, emotional, sexual or physical and can result in neglecting, exploitation or abandoning. This abuse can be done by any one and not only outsiders, i t can be done by someone from the loved ones. It is really important to analyse that it is just a personnel issue or a crime. And what are the steps taken when individuals come to know about the elder abuse and the steps involved in this task. Because elder's safety is very valuable and it's our responsibility in our life.

Problem Statement

As this is becoming an increasing concern and not that much of importance is shown to this matter. It get's mixed up with personal problems that arise at home and no one is able to sort them out. These situations can arise any where and not just home; it can also take place on the streets where they can be mistreated or nursing homes. But usually the care workers are not informed about the abuse. So it is accordingly important that if we suspect any kind of abusive act taking place anywhere near our surrounding and report it, for their protection. So proper investigation can take place disabling future abuses. That will make their life easy. Because these abuses can have long term affects since they might have other problems as well at that stage, which could stop their daily life from operating normally. It is also important that we don't become the part of that abuse where we are doing the criminal act by our self.

Thesis Statement

There are certain mishaps arising about elderly abuse and get confused between personal problems and criminal acts. So the challenges have to be face and methods have to be found in order to investigate Elder abuse.

Purpose of the Study

This study will help us in defining the major components that are involved the investigation of the elderly abuse. How can be the investigation performed well executing a positive result that could benefit the individual who have gone through elderly abuse. The situation in which they get involved, that are meant to be reported as a criminal act, which can have long term affects and can cause many problems regarding their health. And can put the elder in the state of shock which is not ethically right.
