The historical background of nursing research
Florence Nightingale frequently viewed through historical background of the nursing research and as the first association. In 1850 mainly the nursing research focused on the soldier's mortality and morbidity within the “Crimean War”. She also identified the questions of research that were looked over while collecting the data systematically in order to get results for the queiries. Her 'research' led to modifications within the surroundings for ill people involving adequate diet, clean water, cleanliness and ventilation. Although, Nightingale's involvement is observed like standard through Kirby (2004) focusing on that the progress of nursing research in the UK actually specifically began with the inauguration of (NHS) “National Health Service”- at the moment world's biggest health check supported publicly - during 1940s.
The current settings
The number of visits in emergency departments has increased by 23% anually whereas number of departments has decreased by 15%. This poses a pressure on the EDs because of shortages in healthcare and availability of proper nurses to look upto. People have had an inaccessibility to care and services (Mantzoukas, 2008). Apart from this, there has been growing concern and activism to improve patient care and to cut the expenses of the admnistration services. Today, EDs are trying to work and operate as the vital components of America's healthcare system.
