Introduction

“She dwelt among the untrodden ways” is a poem written by William Wordsworth in 1798. This is one of the most romantic and beautiful poems written by Wordsworth. This poem contains significant elements of Wordsworth poetry like nature, beauty, loneliness and rhythmic tone. Like Solitary Reaper and all other Lucy poems, “She dwelt among the untrodden ways” also reflects the elements of solitude (Mileur, 1985). This theme of solitude is reflected with the use of different literary elements in this poem like content, form and language of the poem.
