All people have lived their lives, which are special, in its unique way which later called life experiences. These experiences are an important source of reflection on one's life and how he/she perceives it. As one author said, “A moment's insight is sometimes worth a life's experience”. Even since, I can remember, I have always enjoyed reading. I could not remember how my love for reading originated. In my view, the starting point and biggest factor was my father who used to advise me constantly to read newspapers in order to remain updated on the current developments on social, economic and political situations of the contemporary world. He used to tell me that the contemporary world is moving at the fastest pace ever in the history of civilization, and the only way to keep up with its speed is Newspaper which encompasses everything. Through the newspaper column, once I got to know about a bestselling novel in which love was the central motif. Coincidently, later on, I found some friends who were also reading the same novel. On that day, I borrowed a first love novel from my friend, which became my habit later on. Since childhood, we were not allowed to watch a lot of TV, so reading became my source of entertainment. During summer time, my mother used to allow only a little time within the house since she believed that fresh air is good for kid's health. While my siblings played with toys and ran around with pets, I used to read novels outside the house under a shady tree.

Undeniably, I had a fantastic reading experience and each book satiate a distinct form of reading cravings.
Based on true story by Ishmael Beah, A Long Way Gone, writer tells the story of a boy in Sierra Leone who has become soldier during the civil war regardless of the fact that he is just a boy. Those who complain about life in the US should read this book. I can't imagine how it would be to never be safe. Armed soldiers, renegades, neighbors shoot to kill and young boys are scooped up and turned into soldiers. Their training is poor and the goal is to use them as "cannon fodder". How this boy was rescued and the mighty efforts to turn him back into a loving, charitable, humane man make an interesting and sorrowful story. Among the violence, confusion, and ambiguities present during war times, Ishmael, along with his brother and friends wander from village to village in search ...
