Introduction

The research question that is selected for the research to be conducted is why students get addicted to drugs in high school? This research question would be resolved with the help of regression and correlation. Correlation is described as the evaluation and measurement related to the association that exists between the two variables. The designation of dependent and independent variable is not done in correlation. In a nutshell, it can be stated that the purpose of the correlation is to evaluate whether the two variables correlate with each other or not. On the other hand, there is regression (Jacob, Patricia and Stephen, 2002). The analysis of data is done through regression when it is intended to measure the relationship that exists between one dependent and one independent variable. Regression also takes into consideration the phenomenon of prediction capabilities. When the independent variable is known then after performing the analysis the regression statistics can be used to predict the dependent variable. Correlation and regression can be applied to this chosen research question. The factor of drugs and high school can be treated as variables (Sharma, 2005). Correlation with this research question can be measured in terms of how these two variables of drugs and high school are associated with the students' addiction. Regression can be applied in this research question to know relationship between drugs in high school and students' addiction.

Methods

The participants of the study would be the students of the high school. The students of the high school would be selected from the high school of my community. For this research, the study would be conducted on 30 students. This means that the sample size of this study would be 30. When we talk about the participants it's important to discuss the demographics of the participants. The demographics such as age and gender of the participants of this study are as follows:

To select the participants of the study first of all permission would be obtained from the administration of the schools. Afterwards immense cooperation would be needed from the administration and management of the school.
