Chapter 1 Al Fatiha

This Surah was one the earliest Surah's reveled to the Prophet of Islam Muhammad (peace be upon him). Various traditions claim it to be the first complete Surah that was revealed. Muslims start their every prayer with this Surah, and a prayer without the recitation of Al-Fatiha is incomplete. This Surah is often referred to as Mother of the Book, which shows its importance for the Muslims and for the religion Islam. It is called Mother of the Book as it contains the meaning of entire Quran. It starts with praise for Allah (Almighty God) to who is Sovereign over the entire universe. After this the reciter prays to the Lord to show him the right path, the path of those to whom He blessed not of those upon whom He unleashed His Wrath. The Surah is like a conversation between the Lord and His Creature (the human). In starting a person who is praying praises his God and then prays for showing him the divine path of those to whom the Lord has blessed.

Chapter 2 Al-Baqrah (The Cow)

Al- Baqarah (The Cow) is the second Surah of the Quran, but not in terms of revelation. It is the biggest Surah of the Quran. The first part of the Surah describes about the children of Israel and the Moses (peace be upon him). It tells about how children of Israel responded towards the revelation on Moses (peace be upon him). It also highlights the duration of different other Prophets over the nation of Israel and how they reacted upon the revelation. The second part of the Surah tells about the evolution of Islamic society in the context of Islamic legal rulings. Moreover, it describes people belonging to different categories like people who believe, people who reject and people who are hypocrites. In addition to that it urges Jews of Madina to accept Islam and warns them by exemplifying those people of Israel on whom God's wrath was unleashed.

Chapter 3 Al- Imran (Family of Imran)

This Surah highlights two nations before Islam that includes Jews and the Christians and in accordance to that addresses the followers of Islam. This Surah continues the messages that were related to Jews and Christians in Al-Baqarah. Jews were warned against their evil practices that they were used to of doing which majorly included disobeying from the Commandments of Allah (The Sovereign God). ...
