In this paper, we will assess the given quantitative action research proposal sample in order to evaluate whether the use of the quantitative research design and methods is justified or not. The proposal sample is based on the subject of attainment in fluency of multiplication facts, also known as automaticity. For this purpose, the author seeks to compare different groups of students who use standards-based math programs at present. These students were divided into three different groups that composed of similar students with different learning styles in each group.
