Describe how physical structure affects human behavior
Physical structure such as our own home, the workplace, the restaurant where we eat, and other structures those not only serve as mere stage for our actions and performances, but these physical structures also exert an influence on our behavior. Physical structure influence and change our habits. Now the main question is that how can this happen? We can influence by restricting the range of possibilities for action. For example, in every physical structure we can only make a series of activities. We do not act the same in a room, in a museum, or a cathedral in a stadium. This means that the physical structure will mark the social norms that we must comply in each case. Besides physical characteristics of the particular physical structure, such as luminosity, temperature or noise can also have different effects on our behavior. Effects can be positive or negative also. For example, a dark room that is wet and cold can have a sense of discomfort. So, if it is true that through our actions we are able to change social relations, the architects are largely responsible for the social behavior of individuals for which they have designed their buildings, and that their designs can hinder or promote social interaction and partly modify our behavior (Susan and Gene, 2011).
Analyze architecture as a means of controlling human behavior
The architecture is the art of imagining, designing and making buildings . The architecture is based on a technical design of the building while pursuing aesthetic goals, social and environmental issues related to the building's function and its integration into its environment. The architecture has introduced the art in some of the buildings that mankind has been able to achieve, think, organize, whether living or commercial, monumental or vernacular, religious or military, etc. Architecture and architectural structure can influence the behavior of human beings. One example that can be quoted here that is very suitable and would define the whole concept is of prison. The architecture of the prison is such that it involves huge walls and small cells. This structure is designed to control the behavior of the criminals and prisoners. Such construction of the prison and the architecture of the prison are designed so that prisoners cannot escape from the prison (Richard, 2006).
If we understand the importance of space in human manifestations, such as the scenario where all matter manifest tangible results from the socio-cultural context. We understand the space as the element where it interacts with the individual's perception about the designed object.
These architectural objects generate human behaviors that are generated sequentially according to the continuous changes that space inside, going up against. That is, the space is strongly influenced by the sociocultural context that shapes it, this leads to the constantly changing economic, technological, social and communication among others, cause in the design of spaces sudden changes that affect human behavior (Paul, 2005).
