Introduction

We are fully immersed in a world of communication IR (infra red), Bluetooth (standard equipment short-range radio frequency) wireless and cellular , wireless keyboards and mice for personal computers and are already with us the WLAN wireless computer networks = Wireless Local Area Network. Progress in this field of wireless networks has been rapid and enormous, and not just about WLAN = Wireless Fidelity but Wi-Fi that can be translated as Hi-Fi in Wireless Networks. We will not elaborate on the evolution of wireless networks because it is a large topic and exciting, we want to do is to set up our wireless network and understand what equipment is needed and communicates with other equipment.

Wireless Overview

The wireless communication is achieved by transmitting and receiving radio frequency RF that are already programmed and ready to fulfill its function of linking different computers within a network. For a PC to communicate wirelessly with another pc or a router (router) or an access point (access point) or a connecting bridge (bridge point) need to have a device capable of fulfilling this role : a wireless interface (Wi-Fi interface).

This interface can be:
