In this paper, we will carry out a critical evaluation of the case study of Amifood Ltd. Amifood is an organization of global reach and specialized in the food and drink industry. This company holds the prestige of having revenues of US$ 3 billion. The company operates in 220 locations across the globe. The company has business units located in Manchester and has expertise in the manufacture and supply of meals in trays for different airlines that operate from the Manchester airport. This paper will critically evaluate, as aforementioned, the industry of airline catering considering the case study of Amifood limited. The company provides food and drinks catering services to VIP, incentive, charter or regular flights out of Manchester and across the globe, and provides excellent catering management services to flights. This company is a competent partner at the Heathrow and Manchester airport. (ICRC 2009, pp.78)

Nonetheless, there is a fierce marker competition and Amifood struggles to make a mark in terms of marketing its products and meet the quality and hygiene standards of the customers. The major work of the company is to produce food and drinks and supply food trays to the airlines. The company's major department is called the Tray Set up department which is responsible for putting the food on the tray as per hygienic standards. As mentioned, the HR practices in Amifood are not up to the mark, and consequently, there is a high employee turnover rate faced by the company, there are some important aspects of Human Resource management that the company ought to adopt to perform better in a highly competitive marketplace. Today it is difficult to find managers of organizations, whatever the objective of these, which do not assert the important role people in the development and success of the company. This especially pertains to Amifood services because the Tray Set up department had been recruiting many people solely for putting the food on the tray, which required manual labor and the salaries were considerably less as compared to other industries requiring manual labor.
