Introduction

Propaganda tries to manipulate the attitudes and views of the audience. It is formulated in order to change the political positions, value structures and the systems of belief and in order to produce a particular relationship with the subject of public discourse in order to promote favorable options. Special messages are usually associated with the submerging ideology. Propaganda is aimed at a large audience, therefore, reported in the media (Doob, 1989, 374).

There are numerous genres of media, such as editorials, advertisements, presentations, songs, posters and articles. Propaganda functions of the political system attempts to defend the power. Ideological in the sense that they are "naturalized" specific points of view, their interests and opinions to make them seem obvious, logical, and in the public interest. Propaganda can be, for tactical reasons, as an open public dialogue or debate, but is always led towards a definite goal, to propagandists carefully before attempting to execute, this way it is always one-sided communication (Cull, 2003, 102).

The use of propaganda: In modern life there are no activities that, somehow, more or less planning, with greater or lesser number of means, not resort to the use of propaganda. There is no longer the old notion that propaganda is synonymous with something bad or harmful. Today we know that given the complexity of society, propaganda is a mode of communication, and as such is required by all social sectors. It is used as a group (religious, political, cultural) and the State, such as business or finance. It was even used and experienced during the last war as a means of war, i.e. to attack the enemy or to change opinion about it (Cole, 1996, 41).

Basic Components of Propaganda Propaganda is used throughout a large set of techniques, but all can be reduced to these factors:

A - The Guiding Purpose of Propaganda: The purpose of all propaganda is related to the audience to which addressed.

B - The Method: The method refers to techniques used, usually psychological, as well as the symbols used.

C - The Effects Sought: Any propaganda aims at obtaining certain effects do change your mind, feelings, and values or cause certain actions (Thomson, 1999, 204).

Propaganda Techniques One of the techniques used in propaganda is the suggestion: This is done through the emotions, feelings, fantasies of people in order to arouse motivations and desires. Since the ambitions, feelings and fantasies are closely related to man's basic motivations, we use them with purpose to arouse incentives to act, to think, to act in certain ways (Sproule, 1997, 3-7). Another technique is to use the testimony or prestige: it is used when using the name of an authority or a relevant Persian something, in order to rule in favor of an idea, product, and action. This influences the public, confused prestige of that person feels the need to act like her, think like her, good or useful to accept what she advises.
