Ward personnel usually comprises of nursing, which can be referred as a practice that does not only involve required formal healthcare qualification but also some specific built in ward skills. Ward staff have a central role in providing health care, thus it is very significant for a well-being of any nation. No other health care professional has such a huge role in promoting the national health care system. It analyses the role of a nurse working in ward under various factors, such as communication, leadership, job satisfaction, and motivation.This also has immense positive influence on retention ratio, job satisfaction and a commitment towards organization, which further contributes in carrying out productive performance in ward. The target audience of this scheme are doctors, physicians, therapists and nurses as it will boost their performance and their growth. This paper intends to discuss the concept of productive ward scheme that shall be implemented in all clinical settings. The reason of selecting the topic is because it will improve the health care quality as this scheme is predicted to assist in reducing waste, improving the efficiency and increasing the amount of time spent by the staffs on the care of the patrients. The productive ward scheme is going to be introduced first in the acute stroke unit, and then it shall set an example that how this scheme can be imposed in other hospitals as well. The literature review information is gathered regarding nursing standard and productive ward scheme is proposed. It also discusses the roles of nurses in productive ward scheme on clinical settings and various needs of skills and competencies of personnel working in a ward and how they are proved to be effective and productive for the overall health care system. It analyses the role of a nurse working in ward under various factors, such as communication, leadership, job satisfaction, and motivation.

Leadership is a process that directly influences the actions of staff workers or members of a particular group (Baillie, 1999, p.13). Central aim of a leader is to produce positive outcome and have success in achieving a targeted goal. This may be through his possession of powers that comes from leadership depending upon his style of leadership (Feldman, 2008, p.25). There are many styles of leadership, but in health care system there are 3 basic styles that have been witnessed, specifically in ward.
