Executive Summary

The paper will present the procurement plan on the medical clinic in the Nickelodeon Project for supplying the materials to the clinic and also to the village in which the project is going to take place. The village has many of people who are suffering from HIV/AIDS. Therefore, the procurement plan will also be focusing on these people while proposing the plan. The paper will first introduce to the theme of the project and then give brief introduction of the contractor who is going to manage the project. It will then discuss the aim, objective and strategy of the project. After that, there is an in depth analysis of the scope of the project. Life cycle of the products or services, risk and shareholder analysis is also done. In the end, the paper presents the procurement methods. Then, the paper is presented with conclusion and recommendations. The selected procurement method is design and construct which the project the most.

Procurement Plan for the Medical Clinic

Introduction

Medical supplies to be acquired in the hospital in a village include, among others, injection syringes, alcohol swabs, water for injection, containers, rigid collection syringes. The project acquires rapid tests for the detection of HIV, in order to extend the reach to marginalized groups outside the regular health system and for the baseline survey. The purchase of a limited number of computers and other office equipment for the Principal Recipient (PR) and sub-recipients (SRs) are also provided. The Green Mine Consultants Office (GMCO) is the PR and as such is responsible for all activities of Procurement and Supply Management (PSM).

Aim

It is necessary to consider that the acquisition and supply management is a set of activities and systems supporting the implementation of the project, which depends heavily on the accuracy of the data and available information, and the ability of the RP and the SRs capabilities to participate in the implementation of these activities.

Objective

The RP needs to identify and quickly outsource SRs for implementing sufficiently to qualify for dispensing medical supplies, through packets, between the target groups.

The objective of the procurement plan is also identifying the risk involved in the project and also to know the importance of the role of stakeholders. After that, the approach will be to identify the available procurement methods from which the best one will be chosen. The objective of the plan is to properly and ethically execute the procurement processes.

Strategy

The strategy will be to first develop the plan on how to supply chain the procurement for the medical clinic and then, it will be approved by the top management of the company and the contractor. In the end, the plan will be executed with the help of the project manager.
