1. Objective of the Study

Public schools and private schools have many differences and similarities. Public schools are free to all students. They are close to home and students can get easy transportation to school. They offer the students the same opportunities to go to a good university with extracurricular activities and advance class so the students can constantly challenge themselves. They let the students interact with different social classes. They have a fair campus; give the students a moderate academic experience, and they offer more freedom.

Private schools offer safe and challenging environment. Most schools are far away so the students live in dorms inside the school. Most of them reside in the belief of discipline and excellence (James, 2007). The students would concentrate in schools therefore they have a better chance of acceptance into a good university. The schools are more financially structured due to the tuition that parents have to pay. It offers the best teachers with the best school supplies that are necessary for students to have an excellent education. This paper highlights the quality of both types of school.

2. Literature Review

Supporters of public schools and also frightening that in private schools teaching load is much higher due to the introduction of additional subjects, aesthetic courses, intensive foreign language learning. Consider all the "pros" and "against" those and other educational institutions (Filer, Munich, 2007).

Let's start with the fact that private schools are not an innovation. The first such educational institutions have appeared three hundred years ago. At first these were educated people who for a cash consideration of children taught to read and write. During the reign of Peter the Great began to appear the first private schools for boys and girls. For a while, to teach children of the nobility at home parents hired foreigners. Later, the discovery and education in private educational institutions came under strict bureaucratic control (Andersen, 2008).

Currently, a private school is a real business structure, the main income of which depends on the size of tuition fees and the number of school children. Additional funding from the state they do not get, as opposed to private schools in many American countries. The program of education in public schools is no different from private school programs.
