PRESCHOOLS

Critical Factors for Quality Preschool

Introduction

The success of children within a classroom cannot just happen without taking serious steps. For the success of a child in academics, it becomes very essential to provide access to quality education. The success of a classroom is a commitment from the students, teachers as well as their parents. The determining of success and providing motivation and inspiration to a child heavily depends on various factors.

Discussion

If a child studying in the first grade repeats that class has a better chance dropping out of school as compared with other children. Early intervention is the best possible way in the prevention of this outcome. It will make sure that the child gets ready and achieve the skills required in the elementary schooling. However, it is very essential to make sure that the school gets ready for the introduction of first timers (Skinner, B. F., 1954). The preparation of the setting needs to be done in order to meet the needs of the development of the skills required by children who are coming to learn at that place.

This problem has been given focused attention and comprehensive consideration from various different angles. A research is conducted for these minority children as well as youth to develop their skills and identify the issues that are troubling them. If we take New Jersey as an example, the district schools of the community can be collaborated with the implementation of the initiatives taken by the State's new Universal Prekindergarten policies, especially considering the New York City (Moffatt, G. K., 2002). The early intervention programs created would help evaluate the issues concerning the children who face difficulties in getting an even start. These high quality programs are the only important things that could be offered to parents and communities in order to help their children in their learning and other educational skills at an early age. It would help to get competent, literate and very well adjusted with in the society (Wallen, M. (2002). This could mainly be done for the children who are early drop outs and/or are referred to special programs and educational classes due to their increased behavioral problems.

It is considered that if the implementation of this program is not successful, the numbers tend to increase for the minority children who are especially referred to expansive special services programs. Estimation shows that by 2003, the number of children studying in elementary schools increased by 2 percent. However, the number of white children decreased by 3 percent and an increase of the same percentage was witnessed for African American children (Kafer, K., 2004). But the largest percentage of children sent to elementary schools was Mexican children. They increased by 15%. These trends are expected to continue for over eight more years up the year of 2020.

There are various areas which need to be developed in the education of pre-school. Most programs, especially in the United States are developed around the same pattern and system (Cunningham, ...
