Mitigation is the process to prevent disasters as well as it attempts to reduce the intensity of an emergency. The aim of mitigation efforts is to reduce losses in terms of lives, property and other belongings. While, preparedness is the psychological attempt to alter the individual's behaviour to limit the impact of any uncertainty.
