EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of this case study report is to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the existing accounting system and human management system of the Premier Office Supplies Limited and also point out the areas where improvement can be made. On the bases of the analysis appropriate changes are recommended in order to improve the business processes. There are different areas where improvement is needed like Human Resource, Information Technology and Internal Control Procedures.

This report has been compiled under the terms set out in the proposal document submitted to [Name of the Instructor], Instructor of , [Name of City], on 12 April 2011. Author works on temporary basis in customer service field and has no access to an accounting work environment. The report is based on the case study “The Premier Office Supplies Limited” AAT Technician Managing systems and people in the accounting environment. Objectives of the project as determined by the AAT are to demonstrate competence in these two areas.
METHODOLOGY
Research for this report has been based on the information extracted from the simulation “The Premier Office Supplies Limited”. As a source of information regarding existing polices in area of employment law: “New right to request changes to terms and conditions of employment” has been studied. Review of existing situation in the POS's Accounting Department has been provided using the SWOT techniques. Also available accounting literature has been studied to establish the best accounting practice.

In the changing economic environment POS owes success and good performance to its ability to respond to changing circumstances and to maintain good, advantageous relationship with customers and suppliers.
The history of the company goes back to the 90s when was established by three colleagues with strong professional background in the office stationery supply market. They have seen a niche on the market and decided to respond to the market demand by offering next day delivery service. The commitment of dispatching office supplies to business customer immediately requires the company to operate on just-in-time system. Just in time approach is a way by which goals of profit, quality and customer satisfaction can be achieved more effectively.
