In this paper, we have to analyze the three articles which are related to the role of advance practice in nursing, the importance of praxis in the advancement of nursing practice, and the role of praxis in the development of the nursing field in acute care.

The paper has to develop the understanding of the importance of advancement o nursing practice and the role praxis played in it. The word praxis may designate specific activities codified, generally to think the transformation of the natural and social relations while the word practice means the singular cases of this transformation.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the articles is to create the awareness on the advancement in the field of nursing, and that it is not a field which does not require knowledge or education like a decade ago.

Commentary

The main focus of the article is on advanced nursing practice which has been developed in order to make the nursing profession more organized and professional. A decade ago, there was no such thing as advanced nursing practice. However, in the 21st century, it has become the depth of the profession.

it is also mentioned in the article that the development of postgraduate educational opportunities and advanced practice roles can only enrich the field of nursing in the perfect manner. However, only education is not sufficient for advanced nursing practice in the right way. It also needs the role of supporting nurses in the development of expertise in the practice.

A tool is mentioned to use in the advancement of nursing practice, which is clinical supervision. It is defined as a tool for supporting nurses in their development.

Another thing is mentioned that the organizations which show commitment to the process of advancement of nursing practice are the ones who should be rewarded. They provide a safe environment of learning and practicing which provides extra value to the development of expertise and competency.

It is also said that the supportive environment of learning should be given, in order to acknowledge the reality of what is being learned about the nurse specialist. For example, if they are assuming the nurse specialists in supportive roles, so they must have a demonstration of it on site.

Understanding the Prattle of Praxis

This main point of article if the use of praxis in nursing practice. The focus is on strengths and weaknesses of assuming nursing as praxis. While praxis is the process by which a theory or lesson becomes part of the experience lived. While a lesson is absorbed only at intellectual level in a classroom, ideas are tried and tested in the real world, followed by a thoughtful contemplation.
