These youngsters are striving to cope with physical and emotional needs such as dealing with questions related to prenatal problems and concerns, and how to plan and care for an unexpected infant, or where to sit when you are eight months pregnant and peers laugh because the desks are now too small. (Vincent 2009) Thus, teenage pregnancy has been the major reason students leave school. Adolescent pregnancy represents a serious social problem that requires an understanding of extremely complex behaviors in order to formulate effective policies.
