Which verse do you think most competently values poetic literary apparatus and conventions? Explain your answer.

I personally got enthralled with Blake's masterful use of the literary devices in the poem “the tiger”. Tiger has long been recognized as one of the best poems of Blake. The poem above all is praise for his hot beauty and power of music. Often contrasting it with the language, images, and questions of origin presented by its innocent counterpart, Lamb (Bloom 2005).

The unfastening inquiry enacts what will be the lone dramatic gesture of the verse, and each subsequent stanza elaborates on this conception. Blagoon is construction on the accepted concept that environment, like a work of art, must in some way comprise a reflection of its creator. The quotation to the lamb in the penultimate stanza reminds the book reader that a tiger and a lamb have been conceived by the same God, and raises questions about the significances of this. It also invites a contrast between the perspectives of “experience” and “innocence” represented here and in the poem “The Lamb.” “The Tiger” consists entirely of unanswered questions, and the poet leaves us to awe at the complexity of creation, the sheer magnitude of God's power, and the inscrutability of divine will. The viewpoint of know-how in this verse involves a sophisticated acknowledgment of what is unexplainable in the cosmos, giving evil as the prime demonstration of something that will not be denied, but will not withstand facile interpretation, either. The open awe of “The Tiger” compares with the easy confidence, in “The Lamb,” of a child's blameless belief in a benevolent universe.

Comparison of lamb and tiger points not merely the opposition of innocence and experience, but also the resolution of the paradox they present (Bloom 2005). Like a lamb being hard-working world, innocence is transformed into experience. This does not rest there. Energy can be curbed, but it cannot be destroyed, and when it reaches the limits of their endurance, it erupts in the revolutionary anger. "Tiger" seduces us cognitive concerns, but eventually exhausts our efforts. "
