Planting and landscape management involves a lot about biodiversity. Sometimes it is required that a lot be out for managing planting, but at times less needs to be put. This is the way to get a lot of biodiversity in parks. There are modern farming facilities that through the use of artificial fertilizers allow different plants and grass to grow. However, a balance needs to be created. This is because use of fertilizers will make grass grow and if too much grass grows, and then this will not allow other plants and flowers to grow. This will prove to have an adverse impact on biodiversity. This calls for using organic fertilizer in little quantities. Examples are cow manure and chemicals. This will allow the grass to grow but not a fast pace that would restrict the loss of other plants (www.sheffield.gov.uk).

Summer flowering meadow cut for hay in late summer
This type of habitat requires a lot of careful consideration and steps that need to be taken. Thus type of habitat consists of a wide variety of flowers and it is a great habitat for birds, animals and insects. Some of these plants are only grown in areas like Yorkshire dales and are termed as the upland hay meadows(www.sheffield.gov.uk).
Seeds need to be sowed time and again to ensure that the plants and flowers keep growing. This is because in some of the meadows, the flowers have been grown for a very long time, but some have been missing for a long time. This causes absence of seeds that could possibly grow in the ground into new plants. There is chance that seeds from other meadows may be blown with the help of wind to other parts, but this could take a long time. Hence, seeds need to be lifted and transported to other places. This can be done with the help of a tractor (Gilbert & Anderson, 1998, pp 55).
Speedy tractors may be employed in the park to do this needful. It can be used be used for picking seeds from the donor meadows and then transport it to the other fields where these seeds are needed(Gilbert & Anderson, 1998, pp 55).
The meadow in summer is small and is surrounded with hedges or woodland. There are no vast spaces or barbed wire present. This meadow exists because of the human agricultural activity that has been going on for centuries. It can be classified as an old landscape with a complex ecosystem. Few cattle and sheep are found grazing at certain time of the year. The term meadow is used for describing grass fields that are grown for the purpose of producing hay. These meadows may be used for grazing cattle and may also be used for cutting hay later. A meadow simply put is an agricultural grass land that is rich in flowers. Meadows have different features but they also share some common features. These are:
They are permanent pastures: the word permanent implies that these meadows have ...
