ABSTRACT

In this study we try to explore methods used in providing physiotherapy treatment, to patients suffering from neurological pain. The main focus of study is on the use of physiotherapy, as a treatment for neurological pain and the effects of its use. The study also analyzes many aspects related to the importance of this study, as the results will then enable the use of physiotherapy more frequently, as a successful means for the treatment of neurological pain. Finally, the study describes effects and results of the use of this method for the treatment of neurological pain.

CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION

Background / justification for conducting the study

Physiotherapy is a therapy designed to maximize physical function and motility of living beings using physical means, such as manual therapy , the heat , the cryotherapy (cold), the electrotherapy (muscle stimulation / sensory ultrasound , laser , etc.), hydrotherapy (water), the exercises , the massages , and functionality (Basson, Annalie, 2010). The subject of such rehabilitation includes neuro-musculoskeletal problems that are to say, neurological problems, joint, muscle, disorders of balance, coordination, sensitivity, strength, endurance, pain and proprioception (Wallwork, Hides, Stanton, 2007). The aim of the physiotherapist is to bring the patient to a physical form, that is normal / optimal (Knox, Bruce, 2007).

Purpose of the Research

The aim of this research is to find the effective methods of physiotherapy used for the treatment of patients suffering sciatica disease, and also to study the effect of this treatment on the patients.

Potential Benefits arising from the Study
