Introduction

Internet fraud includes a wide range of illegal behaviors in which various facets of the Internet play an integral role in the transmission of intentionally deceptive and/or false representations for personal or organizational gain. Phishing is a type of deception designed to steal your identity. Thus, an attacker tries to obtain information such as your credit card numbers, passwords, account numbers or other confidential information under false pretenses. This type of attack typically occurs via unsolicited email or pop-ups.
