CHAPTER 5: A Politics of Hate

Transcending a Politics of Hate

The question which this section of the paper intends to deal with is rendered by many as the ability of the memoirists to understand the developing notions and rise above the politics of hate. Political hatred is ideological fermentation acting on the grey areas of society. It is neither right nor left, but a catalyst that triggers resentment and mediocrities, pointing them against specific targets. The result is always the reaction to political violence and the way that violence begins and ends in the word in the acts. Moreover, before moving further and analysing the notion relating to the idea as identified in the pretext of the paper. It is important to understand the nomenclature of the role memoirist tends to play. A memoirist is a person who studies or communicates the story to the people based on his or her memory and its interpretation. Its task is to relate historical facts, categorize, and then to propose a balanced interpretation and justified by sources under the control of the informed public. The title of memoirist is not professionally recognized in some parts of the world and relies instead on peer recognition. The memoirist is often compared to an investigative reporter, the detective or investigating judge, and he or she has every incentive to comply with a method known. So is the credibility of its contribution and its conclusions (Satrapi, 2003).

In society, the role of the memoirist is wide. For example it is called upon to intervene in proceedings, expert of art, commemorations, inventory of historical monuments, the powers of street names, estates, etc. It can also be applied to reveal and prove the instrumentalization and manipulation of history for partisan or ideological. The historical profession has evolved over time by changing its role in society as are the various aspects surrounding his work. However, the role of the memoirist is to relate the facts correctly not rendering any thoughts relating to moving ahead with the politics of hate. However, the fact needs to be kept in mind that politics of hate is not rendered or crafted by the memoirists itself but by the course of the history. Memoirists only serve as a tool to render the events of time to the future generations.
