Executive Summary

In this report, we would be discussing the prospects of getting hired based on our skill set and Qualifications. The unique skill set brought to the workplace is a big contributor in getting hired. All the factors have equal significance on the prospect of the Candidate. The attitudes, values, personality, ability, motivation all have a diverse impact on the final decision. We cannot say that one single factor will have the most significance. All the major factors have been discussed at length.

Introduction

Finding Jobs in such a competitive professional environment is not easy. Candidates even after possessing adequate qualifications and experience are not selected. Candidates have to perform multiple personality checks on themselves in order to apply for the desired job. Since so many Applicants are applying, the chances of getting hired are minimal. Organizations need employees who are unique and goal oriented. They should bring a distinct skill set to the workplace.

Organizations prefer employees who can multi task their priorities. Candidates who can work under constant pressure of deadlines are also encouraged. Employees who are specialists in their fields would instantly get hired. Nowadays Organizations look for employees who can acclimatize to rapid changes in the environment. Candidates who cannot adjust according to the changing environment cannot succeed. It is increasingly becoming the survival of the fittest.

In today's fast paced world of competition and modern technology, people need to continuously develop themselves in order to meet the challenges of modern life. Students are required to complete courses relevant to their field of study. Also, employed personnel are often required to receive training to enhance their knowledge of the work and to improve their operational efficiency at the workplace.

Over the past year, I have tried to develop my personal and professional abilities. In this paper, I would cover my journey over the past year, the measures I have taken, the avenues I explored and the steps I took for an overall personal and professional development. My primary motivation in the journey was to become better at what I do and to distinguish myself from the rest. I would also discuss the elements of motivation, personality development, aspirations that guided me towards my goal and finally allowed me to achieve my goals.

Strengths

In order to achieve one's goals, he/she should be well aware of their strengths and weaknesses. I have a habit of continuously assessing myself and identifying the weak links that need to be worked on. I personally believe that I have the following strengths that could play a vital role in the achievement of my goals.

I think I have good interpersonal skills. I can communicate well with other people and make my point clear. It has helped me in my academic and professional career. I intend to polish my communication skills in the future.
