Permaculture refers to a design system revolve around ethics and seven principles that provide guidance to an individual, family and society in the direction of a sustainable future. These principles include built environment towards a sustainable growth, use tools and technology, promote culture and education, maintain health and spiritual well-being, uphold finances and economics, land tenure and community, and land and nature stewardship.

Discussion

Permaculture system provides a framework that focuses on sustainable human environment. It is an interdisciplinary practice emphasizing on sustainable energy-efficient building, wastewater treatment, just and workable social structures and economies, food production, recycling, and land stewardship. This system is beneficial as it stresses on energy conservation, recycling, healthy natural systems and abundance of resources. On the other hand, in understanding global management Permaculture lacks as it talks about self-sufficiency on a farmhouse craze; its extent is small in the context of land management when it comes to large territories of horticulture (Holzer, 2011).

Permaculture engender strong sense of ethics includes concern regarding well-being of the earth, people, sharing of surplus and emphasize on cooperation and optimism. These ethical principles intimate the natural world. This design system is significant for designing, establishing, managing and improving the efforts of individual, family and society towards sustainable future. This network tends to be beneficial in influencing organic agriculture, intentional community design and suitable technology and effective in bring small local changes (Holmgren, 2011).
