The support frame of the patient lift will be made of composite materials. The composite material is an assembly of at least two materials not miscible (but with high adhesion capacity). The new material thus formed possesses the properties that the original elements alone do not possess. The phenomenon which improves the quality of the material against a certain use such as lightness, rigidity effort, etc, explains the increasing use of composite materials in various industrial sectors. However, the detailed description of the composite remains complex mechanical point of view (Ball, 1961, pp. 12).
