This problem of depression (Alford & Beck, 2009), is pretty common among elderly people, because of certain reasons including retirement issues, the death of their loved ones and many other medical problems, all of this lead to depression. Most of the elderly people do not take this issue seriously and resists going to a specialist. Depression is an issue which need to be reported as early as possible, because it is not just the mood of the person that is effected by depression, it has a great impact on a person's mental and physical health, which prevents you from enjoying the fruits of life. However, it is not necessary that only elderly people get affected by depression this disease has also been found in a lot of youngsters. No matter what is the age of the person, thinking process of a human brain always keeps on changing, it is the responsibility of human to enjoy the different experiences of his life, and if someone faces the problem of depression he should immediately take medial help.
Major depressive disorder Unipolar depression (Sea. R, 1996) is just another name used by the psychologist for the term major depressive disorder. There are various ways in which this disorder affects a person mood, mostly result in a depressed mood, along with a lack of interest in everyday activity; it also affects the weight, fatigue, sleep of a person. The person starts to develop a feeling of guilt and faces difficulty in concentrating towards things, in some cases even have suicidal tendencies. The diagnosis of this disease is based on the patient's history, his self-reported experiences, reports concerning his behavior with his friends and relatives along with an examination of his mental status. In our case the patients suffering from unipolar depression for a long time, but has never received proper medical help to resolve the cause of the problem, which worsen the condition of the patient even more, even if the recovery process begins now it is going to take a very long period of time for complete recovery.

Pathophysiology of Depression
A human brain is composed of many interconnecting nerve cells which are known as the neurons. These neurons play an important role in guiding a human being to different activities in his everyday life. These activities involve the process of thinking, movement and feeling that are present inside the human body as a reaction. These operations are performed by the movement of chemical messengers known as the neurotransmitters present inside the human body cells.
