CHAPTER 01: INTRODUCTION
Participative Management and Management by Objectives are the systemic concepts, made up of essential parts which are independently distinguishable but which together forms a new and better strategy which ultimately affect the whole organization in terms of efficiency and effectiveness of the organizational productivity. According to the previous studies it is observed and proved that the organizational behaviors are influenced by various factors. These factors depend on different theories, moreover, past researchers worked on a different aspect of a distinct phenomenon. In addition, the organizational behavior was considered as to be influenced by the classical approach which was helpful for identifying and resolving the initial or the minor problems that were pertaining to the organization. However, according to new studies where the environment of the organization, also the business environment has changed, have made a significant impact on the organizational behavior in relation to the Management by Objectives and Participative Management. The approaches that include human relations approach, systems approach and the contingency approaches are considered as the modern tactics which help the organizations in resolving the problems that are arising due to the changing environment of the modern-day business.
Aim of the study
The research focuses on the following aim and objectives that include participative management and management by objectives in Saudi government Corporation of Inspection and Investigation. Participative management is the systematic, scientific concept which helps the individuals, groups and organizations to understand predicting and improve individual performance and functioning of the organization. Participative management is the study of any action and groups in the organization. This is an academic discipline, which helps managers to make principled decisions when working with people in a complex, dynamic environment, it combines concepts and theories related to individuals, groups and organizations in general. In addition to this, management by objectives is based on the definition of objectives of each employee to then compare and lead towards improvement of the objectives of the company. It is about improving the business objectives through aligning goals with personal goals overall.
Ideally, employees are supported to identify their targets, timetables for achieving them and monitoring processes to obtain feedback to help achieve the objectives. Management by objectives was defined by Drucker in 1954 in his book "The Practice of Management." According to Drucker managers must avoid the activity trap, which traps them in everyday activities and makes them forget their purpose, to achieve the main objectives
