Parables of the Soils

The parable of the soils describes what becomes of the seed which is sown in four different soil types. The first type of soil hardened by the soil. This seed does not penetrate into the soil at all, but quickly grabbed the fowls (www. bible.org). The second type of soil rocky soil, a thin layer of earth, barely covering the rock below. The seed that falls on this type of soil germinate faster, with the heat retained by rocks, but hampered by a lack of depth and lack of moisture. Seeds that germinate quickly and finishes quickly. The third motivated challenging soil, inhabited soil with spikes (www. bible.org). Seeds fall on this ground begins to germinate and grow, but eventually drop hardened spikes. Fourth soil fruitful soil, the soil, which gives a bountiful harvest. Having said Jesus put an exclamation point after it, by adding the following words: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear" (v. 8).

Students seem to remain silent as our Lord taught by this parable, and many others. Perhaps they are reluctant to admit that they do not understand what he was trying to teach them (www. bible.org). It would seem that no one asked him what he wants, or else they would not need to ask Jesus about his private value.

Account Luke tells us that they asked him about this parable (verse 9), while other accounts tell us that they were also asked about the meaning of all the parables (www. bible.org).
