Osteoporosis

Definition

Osteoporosis is a status characterized by a decline in the density of skeletal part, declining its strength and producing in fragile skeletal parts. Osteoporosis literally directs to abnormally porous bone that is compressible, like a sponge. This disorder of the skeleton dwindles the skeletal part and results in common fractures (breaks) in the bones.

Etiology

Osteoporosis is a disease that involves the loss of calcium from the bones. In alignment to understand this, an examination of what osteoporosis is, the diagnosis, and treatment/prevention of osteoporosis should be accomplished. Osteoporosis is a condition that determinants bones to thin and dwindle.
